The Marin Masonic Building Association is proud to be part of a vibrant downtown San Rafael.
The Marin Masonic Building Association was established to lease business space where Marin Masonic Lodge was then located. Later, its mission was changed to build and operate the first of two, then new, buildings to accommodate Marin Lodge. The first building, a wooden structure, was built at 1010 Lootens Place in San Rafael in 1892. With the purchase of an additional plot of land, the old building was torn down and a new brick building was built in 1924 on the same site as the earlier Masonic building. The association was incorporated in 1953.
