Installation of 2023 Officers
and Holiday Dinner
Our Installation of Officers for 2023 was held on Saturday, December 17th, 2022 at Marin Lodge. Our new corps of officers were installed including our new Worshipful Master, Wor. Brother David Hammond. We celebrated with our Annual Holiday Dinner at Chalet Basque in Terra Linda.
2022's Stated Meeting Dinners
We continued to enjoy our monthly stated meeting dinners out at San Rafael Joe's throughout 2022. There was an opportunity for fellowship as well as an opportunity to break bread with one another. On average there were ten brethren in attendance of during the year. Each night after our dinner, we returned to the Lodge and ho held our meeting for the month. Our last stated meeting dinner of the year was held on Wednesday, December 14th.
Election of Officers
On December 14th, at our stated meeting we held our election of officers for 2022. The election was concluded quickly as was the meeting itself. We then retired to refreshments in the Lodge Library.
Roll Call Dinner
Our Annual Roll Call Dinner was held on October 8th, 2022 at Cafe Arrividerci in San Rafael. It was a smaller event than usual, but the members and their wives who joined us had a good time this year.
Bocce Ball Tournament
In June, Marin Lodge participated in a Bocce Ball Tournament hosted by Mill Valley Lodge. It took place at the Bocce Ball courts in Albert Park in San Rafael. Worshipful Tom Benoit prepared fine food for the event. All who attended had a good time. Our thanks to Worshipful Tom and the members of Mill Valley Lodge for their efforts.
May 25th Fellowship Meeting
Brethren, We had a successful meeting of approximately twenty members of Marin and Mill Valley Lodges, in which we talked about new activities, altering the number of meetings and understanding the needs of members. It was a productive and enthusiastic night. We would like to thank Worshipful Tony Tufo for cooking the food. We would also like to thank Bro. Dominic Tufo and Senior Warden David Hammond for their efforts in setting up for the evening, serving the food and cleaning up after the event.
May School of Instruction
We were not able to hold our district school of instruction in May, so we did the next best thing, we held a dinner for the officers and brethren present featuring Mexican cuisine. We then practiced for the Fellowcraft degree.
February Sweetheart's Dinner
Marin Lodge held a Sweetheart's Dinner on Saturday, February 19th. Eleven brothers and their guests attended our event at Chalet Basque in San Rafael for an enjoyable evening.
2022 Installation of Officers
Our installation of 2022 officers was held on the evening of Wednesday, January 19th, 2022. It was a joint installation together with the officers of Mill Valley Lodge. After the installation of our officers, we retired to the library for fellowship and refreshments.
January Stated Meeting Dinner
In January, we enjoyed dinner out at San Rafael Joe's on Fourth Street. There were eight of in attendance owing to the ongoing concern about the virus. Afterwards, we returned to the Lodge and held our meeting for the month.
Updates to the Building and to the Lodge
Brethren, your hall association has been hard at work during the pandemic to make the Lodge more enjoyable for you. As you can see by the photos below several improvements have been made. Several other improvements are being considered. Your Worshipful Master and Senior Warden play an active role in the hall association, keeping the needs of the brethren when weighing building improvements. The most recent of which is a new roof and new awnings above the storefronts on Fourth Street. It is our hope that you will find the Lodge to be a welcoming place that meets your needs and expectations. We would would like to acknowledge our property manager, Mr. Bob Knez, our building manager, Mr. Gary Fusco and Mr. Lee Hamovitz for their efforts in these improvements and the day to day operation of our building.
